Candied onions
Holiday special!
You need: (for use as a condiment)
- 2 onions
- Butter
- A little water
- Balsamic with candied figs
- Salt & Pepper
- Chop the onion into thin strips.
- Fry it in butter for a few minutes, then add 5cl of balsamic with fig confit and 2cl of water.
- Cover with a lid and cook over a medium heat until all the liquid has evaporated. Stir occasionally during cooking.
- Serve with foie gras or cheese.
- You can make jars of it and sterilise it to keep it longer or store it in the fridge.
Tip: This recipe can also be created with wild blackberry balsamic or truffle balsamic.
