Turnip gratin
A winter dish
You will need: (for 4 people)
- 1kg of turnips
- 40g white sugar
- 4 teaspoons of balsamic with dried nuts
- A drizzle of olive oil
- 100g of cheese for gratin (emmental, comté, whatever you like!)
- Salt & pepper
- Preheat the oven to 180°C.
- Peel the turnips and cut them into fairly thin slices.
- Cook them in the olive oil and sugar until they are caramelised.
- Halfway through cooking, add the balsamic with dried nuts.
- Place the cooked turnips in a lightly oiled ovenproof dish and sprinkle with the cheese.
- Bake for 30 minutes and enjoy!
Tip: This recipe can also be created with caramel vinegar or fish bone balsamic.
