Figs stuffed with goat cheese
A delicious treat
You will need: (per person)
- 2 figs
- 2 slices of smoked bacon
- 3 teaspoons of honey vinegar
- 4 thin slices of goat cheese
- Preheat your oven to 180°C.
- Rinse the figs and cut off the top of the stalk, then slice them in half down to the base, without cutting them completely.
- Cut the goat cheese slices in half.
- Between each slice of fig, slide a half slice of goat cheese.
- Wrap a slice of smoked bacon around it. You can hold it in place with a toothpick or roasting twine.
- Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C.
- Meanwhile, reduce the honey vinegar in a small saucepan over low heat for 10 minutes until it caramelizes. Keep an eye on it to prevent it from burning.
- Serve the honey vinegar reduction over the figs straight from the oven and enjoy with a green salad.
Tip: This recipe can also be created with plain balsamic or caramel vinegar.
